The majority of the front surface area of a regular mouse is of no
use, other than for the smooth rounded shape, which unnecessarily
increases the weight of the mouse. Designed with material conservation
in mind, the Demat Mouse by Edgar Ortiz is a dematerialized computer
mouse to analyze the usage of the device in combination with hand
movement. The construction of the concept mouse relies on thin but
fortified resin wall construction. All parts can be easily molded and
assembled together. The Demat Mouse relies heavily on flex sensors and
wireless capabilities. Once the button is pressed on to click, the
flexible button then sends a signal to the hardware of the laser mouse.
The dematerialized computer mouse not only reduces the weight of the
mouse but also gives a refreshing design to the ordinary computer
accessory.
